I really wanted to focus on artificiality in my design. My original sketches played around with the idea of wood, and I decided to expand it from there. My shirt features four non-fabric materials, blended together, neither of which make sense in the context of clothing. The paradox continues with the fake pieces of tape, suggesting a lightness and 3-dimensional quality to the design. I used erasing tools for the blending of textures and created the tape using the lasso, rectangles, color fill-in, and transparency tools.
