T-Shirt Design and Art

The Little Boy and the Old Man
Shel Silverstein

Said the little boy, "Sometimes I drop my spoon."
Said the old man, "I do that too."
The little boy whispered, "I wet my pants."
"I do that too," laughed the little old man.
Said the little boy, "I often cry."
The old man nodded, "So do I."
"But worst of all," said the boy, "it seems
Grown-ups don't pay attention to me."
And he felt the warmth of a wrinkled old hand.
"I know what you mean," said the little old man.

Shel Silverstein will always be one of my favorite artists. As a boy he made me dream of being like him, of writing and drawing beautiful things, and I don't think any artist since then has ever made the same impression on my growth as a person; As I think it will be a hard task for any artist to make such a deep impression on me any time in the future of my life in the same as he did.

For my T-Shirt I wanted to create a simple visual message- something that people could immediately notice as the eye progresses from the left side of the piece to the right side. In the same respect I kept it purposefully clean so the message isn't effected by any other unnecessary images.
