James Rosenquist, The Promenade of Merce Cunningham, 1963.I am writing my thesis on issues of perception and technique in James Rosenquist's works from the early 60s. I like that his paintings are resistant to narrative. I am also interested in how his paintings employ and distort popular imagery.
