This piece of art was created in 1507 by the artist Luca Signorelli. He uses a lot of different techniques to create space within the scene. First the size and the amount of space the figures take up in the foreground is greater than those in the background. The figures also overlap each other, which creates even more space within that one area. The use of color is also significant, as the figures in the front have the brightest colors as your eyes are drawn to them first, as the colors continue to dull as you move farther away into the distance. Also, the details given to the scenery (the mountains, trees etc.) weakens as you look farther into the distance, mimicking what your eye would do if you were to actually look at a landscape.
