Corneliszoon was a Dutch painter who lived from 1562 to 1638. This work, Fall of the Titans, was painted in 1588. I was struck by this painting because it is very much not what I expect from that era, with the emotional, distorted faces and the action poses. The use of bugs instead of fig leaves is an interesting touch. In addition, it also has an excellent use of perspective.
