Julio- Giorgio Vasari (1511-1574)

Giorgio Vasari was an Italian painter, architect, and writer. He is most famous for his encyclopedia of artistic biographies. Vasari traveled through Italy painting many ceilings, walls, and altarpieces. As an architect he designed Florence's Uffzi and the Medici's business offices. The following is a unfinished painting on the interior of the Duomo of Florence (It was later completed by Zuccari).
I think it's really interesting how Vasari did most of his work on constructed buldings and domes.
